Amy reminded me that I had not posted to the group yet and just to my personal FB account, my welder died about Christmas time. Sadly I am taking a break from perches for now until I can purchase a new welder and a shop to home it in. It’s a bummer but it’s life. I have a few things I need to make out of metal yet so someday soon I’ll get another one. On a side note, I have a few 1.5″ perch rubber tops that I can sell at cost ($25 each plus shipping to your house) if anyone is interested. They are coops sized to male Gos, a female would be okay but 2″ would be my preference for that.
On a happier note I have been pursuing another project (not falconry related) that will hopefully come to fruition within the next few days. I had purchased a small CnC machine and learned to draft a bit to give substance to an idea I had. And I am getting super close to seeing a final product. I’m pretty stoked about that.
Thank you all for the support! I do appreciate it. -Shane
A K-Bow ready to go. I made one for a customer and then this one as a bonus. It has all the usual flaws. Weighs about 10 pounds and stands 7” at the top of the 1” rubber. $250 with free shipping to the US 48. Thank you all.
I was hoping to get these two out today but sadly the day didn’t go quite as planned. I was asked to make something Viking so what better than a couple of Hammers. It took a minute longer to design than I anticipated but I don’t think they are too bad for a first effort.
I am also going to start incorporating some wooden products into my business soon. I am learning to use a cnc mill machine and all the horrible programs it takes to make them move in the right direction. The learning curve has been a little more steep than I originally gambled but I do believe it will pay off soon. I’m working on some ideas and can’t wait to see what people come up with for me to do. I am going to start with some wooden micro perches and boxes and see where it goes from there. I have a lot of ideas that I am excited about and can’t wait to bring to fruition.
